Sukra Chaitanya founder of Sri Krishna Yoga Foundation
Sukra Chaitanya was born, brought up and educated in the state of Odisha, India. He commenced his yogic journey as a postgraduate student Educational psychology from Sambalpur University, Odisha followed by Diploma in Yoga Science Dev Sanskriti University, Haridwar, UK. He is a born yogi in every sense of the word. Since 1990, he has been learning and teaching yoga professionally along with conducting workshops worldwide with various organizations like Sri Aurobindo Integral yoga and Education Society, Pondicherry; Swami Rama Dhyan Gurukulam, (Himalayan Tradition) Rishikesh, the Swami Vivekananda Institute, Bangalore. Currently, Sukra is the founder of Shrikrishna Yoga Foundation. Sukra is inspired to utilize the benefits of yoga for much deeper personal transformation than a mere tool of physical improvement and mediation.
As a lecturer World Health Organization practices what he preaches, Sukra's humble way of life is dedicated to helping others. His numerous charity experiences include 'The Holistic Health Approach' with the United Nations' World Health Organisation (WHO), Rural Development by the Rural Development Institution by Swami Rama Himalayan Institute, as well as SKY Foundation, an Indian registered trust dedicated to transforming the lives of all people- especially underprivileged one’s through the gift of authentic yoga and started yoga teacher training in Rishikesh as a passion and mission of his life. With 20 year's of his Spiritual Journey, yoga has always been a part of Sukra’s life. He has a profound understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the yogic traditions. Sukra believes in a truly holistic approach to teaching yoga. Engaging himself into yoga and meditation retreat in Rishikesh satiated his dream of serving people around the world. But it is not only Sukra's theoretical teachings that inspire his students, but it is also his ability to take these ancient teachings and transform them into practical lessons for modern day life.
